BEST TIME TO VISIT KASHMIR
Kashmir is a year-round destination, before
considering a Kashmir packages, it is better to
know about the seasons of Kashmir and which are
more favourable for travel. The ideal time to
travel to Kashmir is between March and October.
You can see its blossoming trees especially
Almond trees and Mughal Gardens hear the bird
song, and watch Srinagar’s Dal Lake hustle back
to life. If snow is your thing and you care for
some snow sports, Sledge ride at Gulmarg,
between December and middle of March. From April
till November Visit Pahalgam for rafting and
horse - riding.
ATMs ALL ACROSS
Once you finalize your Kashmir tour packages,
you need to be aware of how much cash you should
be carrying and the number of ATMs at your
disposal. The ATM network of Kashmir is vast,
and you shouldn’t have difficulty to find an ATM
while travelling. Srinagar has plenty of ATMs
and withdrawing cash is not an issue, but it is
not same with Pahalgam and Gulmarg. There are
few ATMs in these areas, so best to carry enough
cash on you when venturing beyond Srinagar.
LOCAL MOD OF
TRANSPORT
All the Kashmir Packages are inclusive of
transportation. It is imperative to know how you
can commute locally. Though the significant
modes of transport in Kashmir are taxis and mini
bus, you will also come across ample auto-
rickshaws. You can hire a tourist taxi for local
sightseeing and also for trips outside Srinagar.
For shorter distances, rely on nothing other
than the auto-rickshaws available everywhere.
TULIP FESTIVAL IN
KASHMIR
The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in
Srinagar hosts the tulip festival every year in
the month of April spring season. The tulip
Garden is home to around 65 varieties of tulips.
The garden is built on a sloping ground in a
terraced fashion consisting of seven terraces.
Apart from tulips, many other from tulips, many
other species of flowers - hyacinths, daffodils
and ranunculi’s have been added as well.
THINGS TO DO IN
GULMARG
Gulmarg with its mountains and green valleys, we
recommend a few other activities such as a
gondola ride, Phase 01 and Phase. The winter
months, skiing among other snow-activities like
snowboarding are in full swing. However, to sum
it up, the activities you cannot miss in Gulmarg
other than the gondola ride, pony ride and
Gulmarg golf course, Maharani temple, St. Mary’s
Church, Maharaja Palace, Strawberry Valley,
Children’s Park, Khillanmarg.
